Event Terms & Conditions

You and Your Fundraising Activity

1.	I understand that, in organising a fundraising activity (the Activity), I am organising such event at my own risk as an independent supporter of Alzheimer's Society and take full responsibility for organising the event (including the health and safety for such event). I will not hold Alzheimer's Society, their employees or their agents responsible for any injury, loss or harm resulting from me organising the Activity.  During the fundraising, I agree to refer to raising money "in aid of" Alzheimer's Society rather than on Alzheimer's Society's behalf.

2.	I agree to obtain all necessary licenses or permissions needed for the Activity.  

3.	I hereby confirm that I am 16 years of age or older.  

4.	I acknowledge that I am responsible for all costs and expenses incurred or arising in connection with the Activity.

5.	I confirm I will abide by the Alzheimer's Society fundraiser's code of practice whilst fundraising in aid of Alzheimer's Society. 

6.	You contact us with enquiries or other correspondence (including via social media) or become involved with us in another way (e.g., by indicating you would like to hear more from us, or would like to make a donation to us or sign up to an event).

Donations

7.	I shall pay all proceeds from the Activity to Alzheimer's Society as soon as reasonably possible and in any case aim to do so within 28 days after the date(s) on which the Activity took place.  All payments to Alzheimer's Society shall be made via debit or credit card, cheque, bank transfer or via a secure online fundraising page.

8.	[I agree to encourage donors and/or sponsors to make gift aid declarations where eligible, which may enable Alzheimer's Society to recover basic rate tax on the donations.]

Materials

9.	I agree that any materials supplied by Alzheimer's Society to me for the purpose of running the Activity will only be used by you in connection with that Activity and/or to carry out fundraising activities for the benefit of Alzheimer's Society.  I acknowledge that Alzheimer's Society owns the intellectual property rights in such materials.  

Personal Data and Photographs

10.	I agree that Alzheimer's Society may use my contact details to contact me about my Activity.  

11.	All personal data held by Alzheimer's Society will be handled in accordance with applicable privacy laws and Alzheimer's Society privacy statement which can be found at https://www.alzheimers.org.uk/legal-information/personal-data#content-start.

12.	I agree that if I provide Alzheimer's Society with any photographs or videos taken during my Activity, these may be used by Alzheimer's Society for fundraising purposes and I am satisfied that anyone appearing in such photographs or videos would not object to such use.  

Alzheimer's Society's Liability 

13.	Nothing in these terms and conditions shall limit or exclude Alzheimer's Society's liability in respect of death or personal injury sustained as a direct result of the negligence, breach of statutory duty or fraudulent misrepresentation of Alzheimer's Society, its employees or agents or any deliberate act or omission of Alzheimer's Society, its employees or agents.

14.	I will not do anything that threatens Alzheimer's Society's reputation or name. You acknowledge that, in the event Alzheimer's Society reasonably believes that your Activity may damage our name or reputation, Alzheimer's Society has the right to ask you to stop the Activity immediately. 
 
General

15.	 Alzheimer's Society may vary these terms and conditions from time to time and the up to date terms shall be available on this website.

16.	These Terms and Conditions and any dispute or claim that arises out of or in connection with them is governed by and construed in accordance with English law.  The English courts have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim that may arise out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions.
